Here is one of the projects that I made last year.
For many years I have wanted to have a go at Indigo dying. It always sounded as if might be a bit messy so I thought I needed time and space to concentrate.
I like to plan my project before I start tying my shibori. I had a remnant of linen mix fabric which I marked and then tied.
Then the fun began! I would not recommend dying with indigo on a windy day – very messy. After a few dips I Ieft the fabric to oxidise until the next day. Once it had been washed and dried I was able to make it up into a lovely roomy bag.
